At Redeemer, Loving Our Neighbour is part of who we are.
‘Loving Our Neighbour’ is a response to God’s call to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love our neighbour as we love ourselves (Matthew 22: 36-40; Luke 10:25-37). It is who we are as Christ followers and who we are as a local church.
We know life is beautiful, but we also know it can be hard and painful. This is true for everyone. That is why throughout Scripture, God calls us to not only to look out for and love ourselves but to actively “love our neighbour” (Leviticus 19:18; Matthew 22:36-40; Mark 12:28-31; Luke 10:25-37; John 13:34-35; Galatians 5:14; James 2:8; Romans 15:1-2; 1 Corinthians 10:23-24).

OUR MISSION
Our mission is: loving and walking with people impacted by poverty, marginalization or injustice, bringing hope and restoration.
HOW DO WE OUTWORK THIS?
As a church we are called to make the love and message of Jesus known to people around us. This love sees, redeems, restores and brings wholeness. That’s why we are here in The Hague - to display the abundant love of Jesus in practical and relational ways. To achieve this mission we focus on three “priorities”: equip, connect, serve.
EQUIP
To equip believers to love & walk with people impacted by poverty, marginalization or injustice. Equipping happens in many ways, including through participating in courses, workshops & volunteering opportunities.
CONNECT
To connect with organizations, focused on homelessness and sexual exploitation (learn, refer, encourage volunteering, provide financial support, build relationships), complementing their work by being who we are and doing what God has called us to do.
SERVE
To help believers put faith in action, to love and walk with people impacted by homelessness or sexual exploitation. Growing, learning, building community and serving together, through key partners or Redeemer initiatives.
